Robert Burton and founder Fred Kurlander were partners for over 30 years fighting for the rightful compensation for their clients, when Fred finally decided it was time to spend less time at their offices.

After an exhaustive search, Robert hired Rob Mack to join the firm. Although Robert and Mr. Kurlander had a near perfect partnership spanning several decades, Rob fit in seamlessly and immediately filled the void Fred left. Since joining the firm in 2014, Rob has become not only a partner in the business, but a good friend, as well.

Robert and Rob share a passion for representing injured clients, but also share the long-held belief that every client must be heard and treated with dignity. KBM has a reputation for practicing law in the Bay Area with the highest degree of integrity and trustworthiness, not only with their clients, but within the legal community, as well. In 2016, Robert was awarded the prestigious honor of being the California Applicant Attorney Association’s Attorney of the Year for the San Francisco Chapter and Rob now serves on the Board of Directors and as the San Francisco Chapter President, for California Applicant Attorneys Association, the largest organization of Applicant attorneys in California.
